The NBA season is right around the corner; to be exact, tip-off is tonight! This NBA season is going to be a real interesting one and I say that because of all the off-season transitions. Teams like the Miami Heat hit the jackpot BIG time by signing LeBron James and Chris Bosh to compliment my favorite player Dwyane Wade; but other teams count on the NBA draft. This will help to improve their team by making the the right choice on draft day.

The number one pick of this year’s draft was John Wall from the University of Kentucky. Then there’s point guard Jeremy Lin from Harvard University who was not drafted. Lin, who played for the Dallas Mavericks in the summer league is now signed with the Golden State Warriors. While playing in the summer league, Lin surprised a lot of people by upstaging the former #1 draft choice Wall when the Mavericks faced the Wizards. Lin, who is from Palo Alto, CA, which is a 45min drive to Oakland, grew up watching the Golden State Warriors, and is excited to play on the team he grew up watching. Lin will be the first basketball player from Harvard to play in the NBA after 50 years. He is definitely my pick for Rookie of the Year.

It’s official. Epik High’s Tablo did actually graduate from Stanford University in five years with both a Bachelors and Masters Degree, hopefully putting an end to a nearly year-long internet witch hunt.

The rapper came under fire last November when a group of netizens questioned whether or not his degrees were real after he appeared on a TV show bragging about his accomplishments. This led to a huge online campaign with several websites popping up completely devoted to proving that Tablo did not graduate from Standford.

Through the campaign, a group of netizens filed a complaint with police, who then launched an offical investigation into the matter. The rapper show his diploma and transcripts, but netizens still called foul. It was until Tablo took a TV new team to Stanford to chat with school administrators to prove that, yes, he is a Standford grad. Also, just last week, police released the results from their probe which backed the entertainer’s claims.

Tablo has filed a libel suit against 22 netizens in response to the online forums. One forum administrator apologized on his website, begging for the star to drop the charges. So far there is no word on whether or not he will.

More than anything, Epik High fans are breathing a sigh of relief in the hopes that the nearly year-long dispute is finally over. Experts say the campaign could have been launched out of a sort of combined jealousy the group felt for Tablo, triggered by his boasting about Stanford, which is viewed as a university of mythical proportions in Korea.

Last night, gaming company Level-5 had their “Next Dimension” conference. Level-5 filled us in on Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle, Ni No Kuni, and a new game Time Travelers. Their newest and most exciting announcement… Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright for the Nintendo 3DS!

The game will be a “combination of puzzles and a crime mystery” and the two characters will work together to solve a mystery in a place named Labyrinth City. Labyrinth City is a medieval town populated with witches. The theme of the story will be “witch trial” and will be written by Ace Attorney creator Shu Takumi.

I for one am incredibly excited for this crossover. This is a crossover that many fans have always wanted… and for fans like me, it’s a dream come true!

That’s right! You’ve read correctly! YG Entertainment is going to be holding their YG Family Concert for two days, December 4th and 5th at the Seoul Olympic Stadium. This will be their first concert in 3 years since their ‘One Concert,’ which was held annually since 2003. They did not hold a concert in 2008 or 2009, leaving a bunch of unhappy fans.

The tickets for the concerts will be going on sale October 21st at 8:00 PM on G Market, seating 36,000 guests. YG will be showcasing their big artists such as Big Bang, 2NE1, Se7en, and Gummy, as well as PSY, their new member to the family.

For all those who are going to be in the Seoul area during that time, I highly suggest you get your tickets, since this is most likely to be one of the biggest concerts to end off the year!
