Update: Kang-in Officially Starts Military Service

"Ã漺! Àß´Ù³à¿À°Ú½À´Ï´Ù"Kang-in of Super Junior officially started his military service on July 5.

A slightly heavier than normal Kang-in saluted fans in Nonsan, South Chungchong Province, Korea on Monday as he said good-bye and headed off to basic training. Members Lee Teuk and Hee-chul were among the friends, family and fans that gathered to say farewell to the idol star, as he starts off his two years and four months of mandatory military service. Fans from all over Asia traveled to southern Korea, just to wish him luck, as other international fans tweeted their words of encouragement to the rebel Super Junior member.

According to SM Entertainment, Kang-in wasn’t supposed to join up until July 10, but decided to get a five-day headstart. His first stop will be five weeks of basic training, but sources have yet to announce where he will be stationed after that. Let’s hope it isn’t the DMZ, though I’m sure it would certainly straighten out the group’s wayward member.
