AVEX Launches New Girl Group

Posted by Jessica Dawson On January - 9 - 2010

AVEX will be launching a new girl group called Tokyo Joshiryu. The Group consist of 5 girls Miyu Yamabe, Ayano Konishi, Hitomi Arai, Yuri Nakae, and Mei Shoji, who are said to be between the ages of 11 and 13.

This will be AVEX's first new girl group since 2003 with the debut of SweetS. The group already has a mixi, blog, and twitter up and running. Even though a CD has yet to be planed for a release, Tokyo Joshiryu plans to have their 1st official live performance at Shibuya O-Nest on February 7th. There are also hopes that the girls will become active not only in Japan but in other part of Asia as well.

Wow these girls sure are young. I personally think a little too young but hey, I guess they have something to sell if they are coming out so early. Shall I stop by the O-Nest and see whats up?
