Ayumi Hamasaki going deaf?
Japanese Pop Star Ayumi Hamasaki or ‘Ayu’ has revealed that she has gone deaf in one ear. However, she has made promise to continue her career and go on with her upcoming tour.
Hamasaki is known for her 28 number hits as well has her 50 million albums sold. She stated her condition in her blog, saying that her left ear ‘doesn’t work anymore’ to the point where it’s too late to be operated. She is suffering from what is believed to be tinnitus, the same condition that famous German composer Ludwig Van Beethoven had.
This condition, however, will not stop Hamasaki from continuing her singing career. She told fans that she will perform until ‘she reaches the remaining limit in her right ear.’
“I won’t stop. I won’t make excuses. As a professional, I would like to the deliver the best performance for everyone,” she wrote in her site.
Hamasaki released her ninth Album ‘Guilty’ on January 1st and is scheduled to launch a tour on April 5th. This year will mark her 10th anniversary as a performer.
Fans are concerned that she can no longer hear with her left ear however her dedication and love for music makes them continue to love her even more.
