George Takei and his spouse of a year now, Brad Altman, will be contestants on the cable channel GSN. They are the first same sex couple to be featured on the show. Takei played the character “Sulu” on the original, famed Star Trek series. Sulu had always been one of my favorite characters on Star Trek when I caught the re-runs decades later, because I found him so attractive. The Newlywed Game will premiere October 12.
