Top musical acts from all over Asia, including Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Indonesia, are converging upon Seoul World Cup Stadium for the hottest, star-studded concert of the year: The Sixth Asia Song Festival.

About 14 groups from nine countries will perform in the concert on Sept. 19. Acts include Gackt, V6 and Mihimaru GT from Japan, K-Otic from Thailand, Chris Lee from China, Show Luo from Taiwan and Big Bang, Girls Generation, Super Junior and 2NE1 from Korea.

The Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange, which arranges the festival each year, expects more than 50,000 fans from all over the world to fill the stadium for the show, which is free to attend. Attendees only have to visit the website, www.asf.or.kr, and request a ticket for download or through email.

"This event will develop as a representative brand for the cooperation and cultural exchange of Asian countries and become the stepping stone to heighten the competiveness of Asian music in the global music market," said Yong-hoon David Kim, chairman of the foundation.

Last year's festival included Fahrenheit from Taiwan, Anna Tsuchiya and w-inds from Japan, and SS501 and 2PM from Korea, among 24 other bands. SHINee and Berryz Kobo were chosen for the Best New Asian Award, given out during the festival. This year's winner is 2NE1 from Korea.

Tickets are available starting Aug. 21 for those in Korea with either citizenship or foreign registration cards. International guests can email requests for tickets up until Sept. 7, so fans better hurry up before they run out.

More groups will be announced as the date for the concert gets closer.
