Singer Nattaweeranuj Thong Mee and actor Navin Yaowapolkul star in “As It Happens,” set to release in November and December in about 40 theaters across Asia.

The romantic comedy is about a series of chance encounters between a beautiful young woman traveling around the world and a travel agency executive, and the romance that blossoms between the two. The movie is attracting a lot of attention from Thai viewers for its star-studded cast and different international locations.

A good chunk of the movie was filmed in Korea, featuring popular tourist spots like Namsan Tower, Myeong-dong shopping center and the Han River boat cruise. This is the first time a Thai film has been shot in Korea.

Nattaweeranuj Thong Mee first appeared on the acting scene in the hit Thai horror film, “Shutter,” about a couple that is haunted by a mysterious young woman in pictures. The film was remade into an American version in 2008 with Joshua Jackson.

Navin Yaowapolkul, who plays the executive, is an MC, singer, actor and professor. He has starred in the Thai dramas “Tai Lom Mai Leuy Reun Sira,” “Katakorn Kammathep,” and “Mae Ying.”
