Shingo071Member of J-pop group SMAP, Shingo Katori, had fun being a police station chief for a day! Katori was able to successfully “arrest” a thief as a part of a stunt in a convertible parade. [hidepost]

This is all to promote his new upcoming police comedy-drama, “Kochira Katsushikaku Kameari Koen Mae Hashutsujo” (This is the Kameari Park Koban in Katsushika Ward) in which he stars as Kankichi Ryotsu. In the drama, Ryotsu is constantly scolded by his supervisor in a koban police box. The drama is based on the manga, which is titled the same thing. The drama will begin to air this Saturday.[/hidepost]
