On August 14 at 10am, Nickelodeon will air Kai-lan’s trip to China to visit her great aunt and she will attend the naming ceremony of a baby panda. The voice of Kai-lan’s aunt, Gu Nai Nai, is the Actress Ming-Na from the T.V. series ER. The premiere will immerse its viewers into the rich cultural traditions of China. The viewers will also help the characters Hoho, Rintoo, and Tolee on their journeys throughout China as they see and experience new things. You don’t have to wait till August 14 to watch the Kai-lan special. It is now available in retail stores nationwide on DVD, this includes two new episodes and a new game.
Nickelodeon first released Ni Hao, Kai-lan in an effort to teach preschoolers about Chinese culture and the Mandarin language. It still remains the only show of its kind to date on American T.V.
