Nintendo released a new software for their newest hand held console, the Nintendo DSi on Tuesday. The DSi is an upgraded version of the Nintendo DS. This console comes equipped with a camera but eliminates the Nintendo Game Boy Advance slot that is on previous models of the Nintendo DS. In this software upgrade for the Nintendo DSi, the camera comes in handy as it can take pictures and upload them directly to a user’s Facebook via wireless internet. [hidepost]
“Facebook and Nintendo DSi build on the trend of personalization that is so important to consumers…. We’re giving people the tools to express themselves in creative new ways and show off the results to their friends and family on Facebook.” says Nintendo of America executive vice president of sales and marketing Cammie Dunaway.
The Nintendo DSi has sold over 1.7 million since its release this past April. Also, Nintendo reported that there has been a sharp drop in their Nintendo Wii sales. Nintendo hopes for the future that their sales can be recession proof.[/hidepost]
