DBSK Releases Official Statements Regarding Lawsuit

Posted by Lara Visconti On August - 3 - 2009

20090123_tvxq1Hero Jaejoong, Xiah Junsu, and Micky Yoochun of the Korean boy band Dong Bang Shin Ki have finally spoken out! Don’t worry Cassies. I mentioned earlier that there shouldn’t be too much to worry about. Things seem bright for the boys as they sort out this contract mess. For now, here’s what they have said:

1. Ever since their debut, the boys have been over worked and completely stressed out by SM Entertainment.

2. The thirteen year contract feels like a life time to them. The thirteen years also excludes their military time.

3. The three feel that they aren’t getting what they deserve for their hard work.

4. The band members had previously requested that the contracts be revised but the company made no attempt to take action.

5. The cosmetics shop has nothing to do with their careers.

6. Disbandment was never discussed or wanted between the members. The main issue is to amend their contract to something more reasonable.

So once again, don’t worry. It seems DBSK will be just fine after all. It’s good to know the situation seems to be handled. We’ll keep you in touch with any more updates on the DBSK vs. SM Entertainment lawsuit!

Yay, I’m glad that they are standing up to SM. Too many celebrities here get completely mowed over by their agencies. (Case and point: Jang Ja Yeon) and it’s about time that someone steps up and says they won’t take it anymore. They pretty much sign their whole lives over to the agency and the agency takes most of their earnings. Go DBSK!

I really do hope they can settle this. 13 years is a really long time. And we all know that the Cassies arnt having it. Lord help them!

Seriously. I believe the contract’s 13 years began when they debuted. So add that plus the military plus the time they trained. Dang. It is a life contract.

It seems that the boy’s have no choice. If they leave SM they will have to pay a very large amount(in billions of won) and if they stay they will have to put up with the slave contract.
