On July 19th, two twin female pandas were born at the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base in southwest China’s Sichuan Province. These are the first panda twins born this year.

The pandas mother, Li Li, gave birth to the first twin at 11:40 AM and the second just eight minutes later. Both pandas are reported to be healthy and will be in the care of the experts since Li Li lacks the experience.
Li Li had a past of several stillbiths and premature cubs that would die soon after birth.
So far, the twin have not been given names.
